This is the process I use to alodine my parts. I picked this up from some RV
site some time ago.
1st - wash parts with Dawn and rinse, 2nd - place in Aluiprep tub (lightly brush
2 min), 3rd - Rinse in water tub, 4th - Place in Alodine tub ( 2 ~ 3 min),
5th - Rinse again then dry with air hose or in sunlight to remove water - 6th -
Assemble parts
Then there is the clean up -- and putting the chemicals back into their
containers and disposing of the rinse water (properly).

I have several different size shapes and size tubs. I even used a Rain gutter to do the Spar Caps. |

1st - I use Dawn dishwashing detergent to wash each part using gloves as not to leave oil from by hands. |

2nd - Wash each part in Aluiprep 33- (This is nasty stuff use a good resporator) |

Alodine 1203 - There are (2) types colored and clear. I am using the colored, gives the parts a golden color. |

I use (2) water tubs for rinceing parts (a). after Aluiprep, and (b) after Alodine |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
3rd Rince parts in water after the Acid and 4th place in tub with alodine - 2~ 3 min. Then 5th rince in Water again |

|
|
|
|
Spray with Air hose prior to assembly or let set overnight to evaporate water. |
